He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Gerry Kukene; his wife Virginia "Gini" Kukene; his children, Danielle and Brian; and his grandchildren, Brooks and Kiki. He was also cherished by his family and friends, especially his wife.
He also became involved in the local American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) Out of the Darkness community walk, volunteering annually at a water station named in honor of his son, Brian.
