He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Taft and Mary Taft (McKaig); his sons, James Taft of Schenectady, NY and Peter Taft (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Charles and Margaret of Lacey, Washington; his daughter Martha Plante of Waterville Valley; his granddaughter Caroline P. Chlanda of Englewood, CO.; his son Thomas; his brother Zandy; and his sister-in-law Eileen Taft (Susanne Culbertson).
