He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Knoetzsch Roody (R. K.) and Felicia G. Roody (Pelczarski); his aunt Trudy Roody; and his sister Patricia Roody. He is survived by: his wife Deb; his cousin Valerie Sweeney Winchester; and also Alexandria Winchester.
