He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Thompson and Florence Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his sons, Eric and David; his daughters-in-law, Mary and Molly; and his granddaughters, Macy, Juno and Liza.
In lieu of flowers, the Thompson family has established the Dennis F. Thompson Fellowship in Ethics at Harvard University.
