He was predeceased by: his wife Marilyn M. Gilliland (Carver); his parents, Carl N. Gilliland and Mildred A. Gilliland (Cunningham); his son Carl F. Gilliland; and his siblings, Elsie Kooser, Kenneth Gilliland, Louis Gilliland and Gilmore Gilliland.
He is survived by: his children, Carlene F. Drew (James) of Charlotte, Carol F. Callihan, Vera M. McLafferty of Hamilton, MA and Steve N. Gilliland (Sherri) of Derry, NH; his grandchildren, Joshua, Kat Drew, Jacob, Shiny Drew, Aaron Drew, Jessica, Scott Young, Vanessa, Michael Gravell, Joe McLafferty, Eva McLafferty, Ben McLafferty, Tess McLafferty, Matthew Gilliland and Allison Gilliland; his great grandchildren, Carter, Maverick and Everly; his brother Donald Gilliland (Sandy) of Butler, PA; and his former wife Eva M. Gilliland. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
