He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Cogswell and Grace Cogswell (Gowan); and his brother Charles Cogswell. He is survived by: his children, Stephen Cogswell (Kelley), Karen Morceau (Andrew) and Courtney Lombardo (Barry); his grandchildren, Kyle, Falynn, Maggie, Matthew, Adam, Joseph, Julianna, Jacob, Gianna, Sydney and Barry; his great grandchildren, Amara and Paisley; and his brothers, Alan (Elizabeth Tapia) and Robert Cogswell.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to White Horse Recovery.
