He was predeceased by: his parents, James Patrick Steele and Mary Kathleen "Kathy" Tuttle (O'Brien); his sister Diane Steele; his stepfather Robert Tuttle; and his grandparents, William O'Brien, Mary Nuza, Patrick Steele and Catherine "Kitty" Steele.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Traci Fortin of Nottingham; his siblings, Debra Dwyer (Matthew) of Lee and Shannon Steele (Jessica) of Barrington; his nieces, Bridget Williams, Erin Malazzo, Shauna Gerard and Colette Steele; his pet Marley; and his adoptive parent Shannon (Jessica).
