He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Porter and Ella Porter (Sanborn); his siblings, Owen Porter, Jr., Reggie Porter, Stanley Porter and Laura Vance; and his stepdaughter Tonya Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Porter (Moote); his daughter Priscilla Osgood (John Osgood) of Kentucky; his stepdaughters, Nadeen Wentzell (Dean Wentzell) of Newport, Alyson LaFrance (Norm Carlson) of Warner and Hayley Pavlick (Moote) of Florida; his grandchildren, Hillary, Chandler Wentzell, Ashley Swain, Michael, Jason, Kyle and Pyper Osgood; his great grandchildren, Brycen and Corbyn; and his sister-in-law Maureen Porter of Newport.
