He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Hamel and Dot Hamel; and his son Bruce Hamel. He is survived by: his wife Arline Hamel (Brooks); his children, Lynn Maskell (Bill) of North Newport, Debra Pevine (Michael) of Barefoot Bay, FL, Gregory Hamel, Angela Whittemore of Newport, Mitchell Hamel (Fran) of Concord, Elyse Downey (Chris) of Franklin and Letitia Hamel; and his sisters, Joyce Disa (Tony), Barbara Gouin and Dawna Jangel (Victor) of Claremont. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
