He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Schanda and Mabel Schanda (Morrison); and his wife Alice Schanda (Mahan). He is survived by: his children, Gail Marie Pockels of Newmarket, Shelly Ann Schanda of Newmarket and Joseph Schanda Jr. of Fresno, CA; and his stepsons, Stephen Denyou of Exeter and Michael Denyou of Exeter. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandsons; and many nieces and nephews.
