Dorothy Mae Hersey Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 5, 2020, at the age of 92, Dorothy Mae Hersey (Newmarket, New Hampshire), born in Hampton Falls, New Hampshire passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Young and Ida Young (Hill); her husband Edwin L. Hersey; her son Timothy W. Hersey; and her siblings, George "Alfred" Young, Beatrice Hart and Evelyn Tuttle.
She is survived by: her children, Roderick E. Hersey of Nottingham, Thomas L. Hersey of Dover, Jody Hersey (Tracie) of Falmouth, ME and April H. Mason (Michael) of Stratham; and her sisters, Gertrude Eaton of Hampton Falls and Shirley Dotson of Exeter. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NH State Parks, specifically Rye Harbor State Park , one of Dot's favorite places by mailing to 172 Pembroke Road, Concord, NH 03301.
