She was predeceased by: her parents, Eino Somero and Femmie Somero (Hermanson); her former spouse Reuben Seppanen; her spouse Arne Hintsala; her siblings, Mildred Henault, Irvin Somero (Natalie), Bill Somero (Elaine), Arthur Somero, Edwin Somero and Glendon Somero; and her sister-in-law Miriam Somero.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Dale Hintsala (Ann) of Hibbing, MN, Dan Hintsala (Marty) of Negaunee, MI, Diana Johnson of Marquette, MI, Shirley Hintsala of Negaunee, MI and Leona Hintsala of Marquette, MI; her brothers, Raymond Somero and Earl Somero (Maria) of New Ipswich, NH; and her siblings-in-law, Ben Henault and Tanya Somero.
