He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Gillis and Lillian Gillis (Manning). He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Gillis (Curran); his children, Michael Gillis (Janet Hayden) of Port St, Dan Gillis (Laura) of Auburn, NH, Tom Gillis (Anissa) of Nashua and Shelly Gillis McGowan of Nashua; his grandchildren, Brian Gillis, Kristen Gillis, Derek Gillis, Maria Gillis, Brandon Gillis, Patrick Gillis and Morgan Gillis; and his great grandchildren, Madison Gillis, Jameson Gillis and Ava Gillis. He is also survived by many in-laws and many nieces and nephews.
