He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar P. Bissonnette and Emma B. Bissonnette (Messier); his grandson Nicholas Bissonnette; and his siblings, Paul, Ernest Bissonnette and Claire Bouchard (Bissonnette).
He is survived by: his wife Patricia J. Bissonnette (Raby); his children, Beth Bissonnette (Stuart Bronson), Marc Bissonnette and Bill Bissonnette; his brothers-in-law, Dr. Joseph Bouchard and Edward Raby; his grandchildren, Sarah Bissonnette, Cory Bissonnette, Cayla Bissonnette, Megan Bissonnette and Kilian Bronson; and his great grandchild Gia Rose Bissonnette. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Raymond was the recipient of the teacher of the year award and several National Science Foundation grants.
