He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester J. Flavell and Corinne G. Flavell (House); and his sister Eileen Masterman. He is survived by: his wife Pamela "Pam" (Spinney); his children, John Alan "Jay" Flavell, Jr. (Sheri) of Chelmsford, MA, Becky Marshall (Steve) of Nashua, NH and Megan Symes (Dan Cohen) of Westford, MA; his son-in-law John Symes of Merrimack, NH; his grandchildren, Tommy Flavell, Katie Flavell, Jocelyn Marshall, Shannon Marshall, Maddie Symes, Kyle Symes, Sam Cohen and Zac Cohen; and his sister Evelyn Fredericks. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
