He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren "Junior" Burroughs and Rosamond "Rosie" Burroughs; his brother-in-law Daryl Smith; and his father-in-law Raymond "Bonhomme" Marcoux. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Burroughs (Marcoux) of Milton; his daughters, Kaylee (Jesse) of Lebanon, ME and Jessica (Matthew) of Berwick, ME; his grandsons, Jackson and Bennett; his sister Eleanor Smith of Townsville, NC; his mother-in-law Mary Jane Marcoux; and his siblings-in-law, Raymond, Michael Marcoux and Mary (Jerry Randall). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at 78 Wakefield St, Rochester, NH 03867.
In lieu of flowers, the family is planning the first annual "Gone Fishin'" fishing derby this spring in Gene's honor.
