He is survived by: his son Jeremy Bakaian; his wife Jennifer Burton (Tassie); his children, James L. Burton III, Justin Burton, Jonathan Bakaian (Heather) and Angela Tassie; and his grandchildren, Danielle, Alayja, Aliyah, Emily, Michael, Ava, Heavenly and Evie.
