He was predeceased by: his father Edward Broome; his siblings, John Broome and Ann Farmer; and his grandson Colton Faint. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Dottie" Broome; his children, James Jr., Shannon (Mike Ouellette), Jeffrey (Amy), Shauna (Chad MacDonald), Justin, Jason (Heather), Jonathan (Deborah) and Krystal (Chris Faint); and his siblings, Edward Broome, Evelyn Debellis, Joseph Broome, Helen Broome, Julie Broome, Jean Baker, Kathy Fenton and Paul Broome.
