With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elaine Mercer of Merrimack, New Hampshire, born in Quincy, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 17, 2021 at the age of 84. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Elaine Mercer to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Higgins and Catherine Higgins (Sullivan); her daughter Debra Chiffy; and her brothers, Melborne and Walter Higgins.

She is survived by: her daughter Sheila Boone (Joseph); her grandchildren, Joprin Bernard (Charles Bernard), Matthew and Joseph Chiffy; her great grandchildren, Rocco and Alexander Bernard; her brother John "Jack" Higgins; and her sisters-in-law, Diane and Joyce Higgins. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
