He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vernon Hurd and Irene (Littlehale); his uncle Arthur Hurd; his wife Rosemarie (Marinucci); his daughter Gynn Silva; his son-in-law Richard; his grandson David of Shanghai, China; his son James Hurd; his daughter-in-law Emily; his granddaughter Katherine of Westford, MA; his daughter Valerie Fish; his son-in-law Casey; his grandsons, Zachary and Thomas of Auburn, NH; his nephew Peter Hurd; and his sister Marcia Little. He was also cherished by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
