He was predeceased by: his parents, Patricia O'Connell (Coakley) and Francis W. O'Connell Jr.. He is survived by: his stepparent Lorretta O'Connell; his family, Connells, Germany, Carlow and Ireland; his wife Nancy; his children, Senator Debra O'Connell Altschiller (Howard) of Stratham, NH and Scott O'Connell (Emma) of Vail, CO; his sisters, Patricia, Barbie and Maureen; his brothers-in-law, Ken, Martin and Tom; his stepsisters, Susan Hart and Patricia Scarlotti; and his grandchildren, Marina, Connell, Braedan, Nicolas and Gabriel. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
