He was predeceased by: his wife Louise; his siblings, Joe, Evie, Glady and Milly; and his son Evander Francis Hawes III.
He is survived by: his daughters, Charlene Steele and Kathleen Eldridge (Jim) of Meredith; his daughter-in-law Hanney-Hawes of Portsmouth; his grandchildren, Cindy LeBlanc of Moultonborough, Karen Pringle (Paul) of Meredith, Mike Eldridge (Kim) of Moultonborough, Michelle Martin of Allentown, Matthew Kipp of Meredith, Tait Hawes (Christine) of California, Tyler Hawes (Sue) of North Carolina, Susie Peoples (David) of Kittery, Crispin Grant of Kittery, Robin Grant and Stauble (Josh) of Kittery; his great grandchildren, Chris, Laura LeBlanc, Curtis, Tippany LeBlanc, Cody LeBlanc (Hailey Davis), Danielle LeBlanc, Joshua Wilson, Jessica, Brett Huckins, Brandon Eldridge, Hailey Eldridge, Kelsie Hearn, Tori Nelson, Kyle Martin, Hannah Martin, Kayla Kipp, Meghan Kipp, Walker Hawes, Josey Hawes, Cameron Hawes, Henry Peoples, Samuel Evander Peoples, Harper and Larkin Grant-Stauble; his great great grandchildren, Scarlett, Liam, Evelyn LeBlanc, Matthew Tardy, Evan, Conner, Gracie LeBlanc, Ryder LeBlanc, Adalyn Wilson, Kaden, Rylan Luongo and Chase Huckins (Kinsleigh Huckins); and also Rosie of Meredith. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
