He is survived by: his children, John "Jack" Simard and Deborah Achak; his grandchildren, Abigail, Renee, Henry, Lewis, Stephen, William and Emily; his stepgrandsons, Nathan and Nicholas; his great grandchildren, Iris and Angus; and also Stephen Simard. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, and cousins.
