He was predeceased by: his wife Joan "Joanie" Stimpson (Metcalf); and his siblings, Linda Scipione (Stimpson) and Kenny Stimpson. He is survived by: his children, Christine Gikonyo and James Stimpson Jr.; his daughter-in-law Amie Lightfoot; his son Ryan Stimpson; his grandchildren, Haley Drew, Savannah Drew, James W. Stimpson III, Shae'lyn Stimpson, Liam Lightfoot and Rowan Stimpson; his great grandchild Zaylee Drew; and his siblings, Ralph Stimpson Jr., Michael Stimpson, Pauline Guerino, Debrah Black, Arlene Fitch (Danny) and Marie Schofield (Dale).
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the McKenna-Ouellette Funeral Home (327 Hildreth St, Lowell, MA 01850). A Mass was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael Church (543 Bridge St, Lowell, MA 01850). A burial was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at the St. Joseph Cemetery (96 Riverneck Rd, Chelmsford, MA 01824).
