We are sad to announce that on July 16, 2022, at the age of 89, Ray A. Makela of Lyndeborough, New Hampshire, born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Reino Makela and Vieno Makela (Mattila); his son Lee Andrew Makela; and his siblings, Jean A. Makela and John A. Makela.
He is survived by: his children, Pamela Holt of Lyndeborough, NH, Michelle Smith (Sean) of Oxnard, CA, Patrick R. Makela of Indianapolis, IN and Michael J. Makela (Robin) of Lyndeborough, NH; his daughter-in-law Rachael Makela (late Lee); his grandchildren, Cameron, Connor Holt, Ashley Makela, Amber Heck (Makela), Lyndsey, Kimberly, Sarah, Jenna Makela, Jagger Smith and Andrew Finn Makela; and his great grandchildren, Branden, Kera Makela, Luna Makela, Killian Bragg and Remy Maupin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any Veterans organizations or a local VFW in his honor.
