He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Konstantinos Karametros and Eleftheria Karametros (Kostarela); his wife Panagiota Karametros (Dristella); his children, Konstantinos Karametros, Katerina Atkinson (Brad) and Eleni Romniou (George); his grandchildren, Theodore, Aristotelis, Maria and Iliana; and his brother Giorgios Karametros of Greece. He was also cherished by nephews, nieces, and cousins.
