It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John J. Powers Sr. of Londonderry, New Hampshire, born in Arlington, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 29, 2023, at the age of 105, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Powers and Annie Powers (Walsh); his wife Gertrude Powers (Chapman); his son Richard A. Powers; his grandsons, Kyle and Sean Powers; and his siblings, David Powers (Thomas Powers) and Mary McMenimen (Ann Hogarty).

He is survived by: his sons, John J. Powers Jr. (Suzanne) and Charles Powers (Linda); and his grandchildren, Jessica, Zachary, Christine and Derek. He is also survived by many great grandchildren.

“Uncle Bud was an awesome human being and uncle. He was funny, genuine, inclusive, interested, kind, mischievous, and supportive (a few of his assets). He enjoyed living, sharing in the lives of others, and was excellent in joyfully engaging with our children. Even though we live many miles apart, he has had a great impact on of our lives. We already miss him. He and Aunt Gert leave us with many enriching and happy memories.”
