He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick C. Johnson, Jr. and Mildred Johnson (Towne); and his brother William Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Diane Johnson (Bridge) of Londonderry; his sons, David W. Johnson (Lynne) of Londonderry and Brian Johnson (Claudine) of Londonderry; his grandchildren, Andrew, Caitlyn and Ryan; and his brother Gerald Johnson (Sharon) of Londonderry. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
