He was predeceased by: his parents, Inocencia Vega and Gregorio Carrero. He is survived by: his wife Diana Carrero (Myers); his children, Francisco, Jacqueline and Marisol Carrero; and his stepchildren, Paul, Brian, Scott and Kerry Lajoie. He is also survived by many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; and nine of his siblings.
