She was predeceased by: her parents, Frances Powers and Jean Powers (Bernier); and her siblings, Mark Powers, Patricia and Kathleen Powers.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Samalis; her daughter Erica Samalis (Devin Janey) of Washington, DC; and her brothers, William Powers of Litchfield, NH, Shawn Powers of Arlington, MA and Charles Powers. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
