He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edmund Butler and Mary Butler (Enos); his wife Patricia Butler (Bryant); his children, Edmund F. Butler, III and Michaela Butler; his grandsons, Justin Butler, Christopher Butler and Dylan Butler; his great grandchild Elijah Butler; and his siblings, Claire Minor, Robert Butler, Brian Butler and Gail George.
