She is survived by: her parent Georgette Cote (Cote); her husband James Shanks; her daughter Lynn Mello; her grandchildren, Krystal Rae Mello, Minot DiLorenzo and Hunter DiLorenzo; and her siblings, Donald Cote of Hartford, CT and Diane Elko of Cumberland, VA..
