He is survived by: his wife Gretchen; his children, Deirdre Hicks Barrett, Shelby Hicks and Daniel Hicks (Kelley); and his grandchildren, Rachel, Elizabeth, Hanna, Michael, Daniel IV, Madison and Corey.
