He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Charles and Maureen Kathleen Smith (Muldowney). He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Smith (Clark) of Litchfield; his son Lawrence C. Smith III of Litchfield, NH.; his brother Kevin Smith (Patricia Turner); his nephew Daniel Smith of Sherman Oaks, CA; his stepsiblings, Victoria Bonsignore (Michael) of Hillsborough, NC, Neil Frisch (Iris) and Elizabeth Yennie (Jeff) of Sag Harbor, NY; and his brothers-in-law, Herbert Clark (Sherry) of Essex, CT and Leroy "Roy" Clark (Jane) of Old Lyme, CT. He is also survived by two nieces, two nephews, six great-nieces, and two great-nephews.
