He was predeceased by: his brother Brian Brooks; and his son Alex. He is survived by: his wife Heidi; his children, Adam Brooks of Groveton, Cody Brooks of Groveton and Megan Caron of Groveton; his father Gary Brooks of Lakeland, FL; his sister Michelle Brault (Eric) of Bloomfield; and his grandchildren, Payton and Parker. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
