He was predeceased by: his parents, Reta Beaton (Newell) and Phillip E. Beaton; his wife Jane Ann Samson; and his siblings, Phillip Beaton, Geraldine Oleson, John Beaton, Reginald Beaton, Gertrude Cliche and Paul Beaton.
He is survived by: his children, Joan Hartford (Dennis) of Franconia, Douglas Beaton, Jr. (Nora) of Lancaster and Jeffrey Beaton (Katrina McLaughlin) of Lancaster; his grandchildren, Nathan Hartford (Natasha), Amanda Jane Hartford (Kevin Abood), Aaron Beaton (Jill), Patrick Douglas Beaton (Natsumi), Brittany Beaton of Lancaster and Spencer Beaton (Jessica) of Lancaster; his great grandchildren, Jackson Hartford, Mackenzie Hartford, Evan Beaton, Cooper Beaton, Austin Beaton and Sadie Jane Beaton; and his sisters, Barbara Donovan and Charlotte Lacasse. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
