He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie M. Chapman (Deans) and Herbert D. Chapman; and his sisters, Doris Makely, Martha Tasker and Mary Rose (Russo).
He is survived by: his wife Pamela Chapman Laconia (Plastridge); his son Robert A. Chapman of Belmont; his brother Nathan H. Chapman; and his sister-in-law Arline M. Chapman of Allenstown. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and godchildren.
