He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ruiter and Margaret Ruiter; his wife Betty Hilliard (Hanks); his son Robert Hilliard; and his sister Dorothy Gray.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Carchide, Tina Ariel (Tim) and Lisa Hilliard; his grandchildren, Veronica, Tori, Emma, Kobe, Ashton, Sebastian, Taylor, Wishe, Alicia, Ariel, Emersyn and Rowyn; and his great grandchildren, Thaddeus, Boden, Eloise, Paisley and Legend. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
