He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford F. Small and Evelyn Small (Towle); his wife Carol A. Small (Maskell); and his daughter Carolyn G. Plummer. He is survived by: his son Steven A. Small (Kelley); his granddaughters, Katharine Oikle and Abigail Borchelt; his son-in-law Donald W. Plummer; his grandchildren-in-law, Christie Goodwin and Andrew Plummer; and his sister Nancy Small Pritchard of Elizabeth City. He is also survived by his family and many friends.
