He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Goodall Simond; his daughter Donna Boyden; and his siblings, Margaret Pettit, Dorothy Lusk, Gladys Hendry, Roger and Donald Simond.
He is survived by: his children, LeRoy Simond (Kathleen) of Goffstown, NH and Maureen Zackowski (Christopher) of Belmont; and his grandchildren, Lee II, Mykel Simond, Regina Hunt, Kathryn Byington, Joshua Brody, Brian, David and Steven Zackowski. He is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family has established a scholarship through Lakes Region Scholarship Foundation, PO Box 7312, Gilford, NH 03249 in Maurice's name.
