He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo P., Jr. and Marie T. O'Connell (Baldwin); his son Christopher O'Connell (Lisa) of Everett; and his siblings, David D. O'Connell (late Anne) of Lynn, Nancy E. Roberts (David), Darlene O'Connell Fleming of Maine and Charles B. O'Connell.

He is survived by: his uncle Canteen; his wife Lucille O'Connell (DiCalogero); his children, Shelley Sainato (David), Judy O'Connell of Wilmington, Leo P. O'Connell IV (Brandy) of Cameron, NC, Heath O'Connell of Fairport, NY, Jason O'Connell (Kierstin Houle) of Victor, NY, Lyn Devito of Dracut, MA and Danielle Harkins (Flavio Zumpano) of Windham, NH.; his grandchildren, Colin, Madelynne, Carolyn, Leo Patrick V, Hazelyn, Nathaniel, Gavin, Jona, Antonio, Kaylee, Alexis and Juliana; his siblings, Daniel R. O'Connell (Carol) of Meredith, NH, Kathleen M. Galeno of Georgetown, Marie T. O'Connell of Middleborough and John J. O'Connell (Amy) of Gilmanton, NH; and his cousin DiCalogero. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

Leo was a fun, caring, thoughtful person who we always looked forward to seeing on land or out on the lake boating. If he saw us walking he would always stop and offer to give us a ride to wherever we were going. Leo was a great person and has been taken from all of us way too soon, he will be truly missed by everyone. RIP Leo. Moe and Carol Labbe”
