He was predeceased by: his parents, Irenee Martel and Yvonne Martel (Sevigny); his daughter Suzanne Daigle; and his siblings, Roland Martel, Lucien Martel, Leo Martel, Edmund Martel, Robert Martel, Grace Montplaisir, Blanche Mansour, Lucille Houde, Rachel Pelzar, Laurette Baillargeon and Florence Steeves.
He is survived by: his wife Bette Turcotte Arigno Martel; his children, Philip Martel of Whitehall, NY, Jeannine Martel of Milton, FL, Leanne Kiley of East Hartford, CT and Jacqueline Martel of Milton, FL; and his sisters, Helen Stentiford of Wakefield, MA and Alice Parzek of Merritt Island, FL.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren.
