He was predeceased by: his parents, John Tappan and Mary Tappan (Sczepaniak); and his son Abram Tappan. He is survived by: his siblings, David, Douglas, Dan Tappan, Dawne Leonard and Deborah Brennan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
