He was predeceased by: his parents, George Eckhardt and Frieda Eckhardt (Knaus); and his siblings, Louise Fallon, George Eckhardt and Ralph Eckhardt.
He is survived by: his wife Jacquelyn Eckhardt (Kenney); his daughters, Lynn Casey, Brenda LeBlanc and Emma Bent; and his brother Louis Eckhardt. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
