He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Walen and Elizabeth Walen (Rowe); and his brother H. Benson Walen. He is survived by: his wife Jean C. Walen (Crowdis) of Kingston, NH; his daughter Julia A. Tirabassi (Matthew) of Portsmouth, NH; his brother Robert L. Walen (Susan Cormier) of Amherst, NH; and his sister-in-law Lois Walen of Rindge, NH. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
