Brian C. Plante Obituary
Brian Claire Plante, 70, of Kingston, NH, passed away Sunday, January 10th with his beloved wife at his side.
He was born in Providence, Rhode Island on March 16, 1950, to loving parents, the late Robert and Grace (Nicholson) Plante.
Educated in the Erving, MA, school system, Mr. Plante graduated from Mahar High School, Orange, MA, class of 1968. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War with the Navy SEALs, Team Two, earning a National Defense Service Medal.
After a few years as a lumberjack Brian received electrical training at Hanscom Air Force Base and then earned a degree in Electronic Technology. For over 18 years he was employed as an Electronics Technician for Sypex Corp., Billerica before retiring to spend his time enjoying life at home with his family and friends.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6617, Plaistow. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed bird watching, golfing, (marathon) running, chess, and reading. He was also well known for his "expertise" around a mini golf course. Mr. Plante was an animal lover and a devoted Papa to his Golden Retriever, River Bear.
He is survived his wife of 37 years, Catherine (Blinn) Plante of Kingston, NH, her children and grandchildren, his siblings, Robert Plante, Donald Plante, David Plante, Stephen Plante, Charlene Deam and Michelle Gantley, along with his brother and sister-in -laws (great) nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Plante was also the brother of the late Mary Lasky.
Brian was a man of strong faith who loved much and was much loved. The empty space in the hearts that knew him best are filled with memories of his kindness, good humor, and love of family and friends. It's never easy to say goodbye, but we take comfort knowing his sufferings are over and he is resting in peace.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation on Saturday morning, January 16, from 10:00 to 11:00 in St. Luke The Evangelist Church, 8 Atkinson Depot Rd., Plaistow, NH, followed by a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00. Burial will be in Holy Angels Cemetery in the Spring. Arrangements are by the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Homes, Haverhill & Bradford.
