He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Buxton and Francis Buxton (McNeill); his son David William Buxton; and his grandson Christopher David Buxton. He is survived by: his children, Susan D. Buxton of Kensington, Jennifer A. Haggett of Exeter and Brian P. Buxton of Raymond; his grandchildren, Sarah, David, Ryan, Caleb, Jason, Tyler, Angus and Phoebe; his siblings, Janet, Jonathan and Elizabeth; his former wife Gail Simmons Hoyt; and his siblings, Robert, Richard, Donald, Kenneth, Dorothy, Stanley, Nancy and Anthony.
