He is survived by: his children, Claire Merrill (Chuck) of Sanford, ME and James Ball (Katie) of Mint Hill, NC; his grandson Joseph Merrill of Virginia Beach, VA; and his siblings, Robert Ball (Mary) of Keene, Nancy Dintino (Victor) of Keene, Thelma Carpenter of Keene and John Ball (Mary) of Arizona. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Ball's memory to Alzheimer's Association Mass. & NH Chapter, 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452; or to the Monadnock Humane Society, 101 West Swanzey Road, Swanzey, NH 03446.
