He was predeceased by: his parents, Annabel Lothrop (Butler) and John Lothrop; and his siblings, Robert W. Lothrop and Beverly J. Lothrop. He is survived by: his wife Hope Lothrop of Nelson, NH; his daughter Karyn M. Lothrop of Falmouth, MA; his grandchildren, Bryan Lothrop (Kerri) of Hinsdale, NH, Evelyn Ann, Alyssa Shelby and Mason Reid; his sister Nancy J. Basselet; his nieces, Apryl Ashcraft, Michelle Basselet and Anya Lothrop; and his nephew Kerry Lothrop. He is also survived by extended family and many friends.
