He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Leavitt and Lucy Leavitt (Patenaude). He is survived by: his wife Judyth Leavitt (Willett); his children, Joseph A. Leavitt and Shari (David Herron); and his siblings, Brenda (Robert Hubbard) of Warwick, MA, Kathleen (Neil Donald) of Winchester, NH, Douglas (Dawn Leavitt) of Winchester, NH and Thomas Leavitt of Jacksonville, FL.. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
